The Mithila Times | New Delhi: The Delhi Transport Department has instruction vehicle owners in Delhi to register High-Security Registration Plates (HSRP) and Colour-Coded Fuel Stickers for all vehicles register before April 2019. After the order pass, Delhi Traffic Police has started challan fining those people who found not not carrying the HSRP or Colour Coded sticker on their vehicles.

People who not follow this in Delhi can be fined up to Rs 10,000, which is regularized to Rs 5,500 under the amended MV Act

An HSRP is a hologram inserted by hot stamping on the vehicle number plates at the front and back side laser-branding of a permanent identification number. HSRPs have some high security features.The plates are non-removable/non-reusable snap lock fitting system.

If you have already applied for HSRS high-security registration plate and colour-coded stickers, you will not be finned. You should carry online acknowledgement receipt of the application.

How to apply HSRP online?


Follow this steps to apply for the HSRP and colour-coded sticker for vehicles in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh:

Step 1: User Visit Book My HSRP Website or Portal & Log on to bookmyhsrp.com

Step 2: Click on the option – High Security Registration Plate with Colour Sticker and Only Colour Sticker

Step 3: Select Vehicle Make – Four Wheeler.

Step 4: Select the brand of your car.

Step 5: Select the state – Delhi/UP – based on the registration number of your vehicle.

Step 6: Their are two options choose user choose one  – Private or Commercial Vehicle.

Step 7: Select Fuel Type of vehicle – Petrol/Diesel/CNG/Electric.

Step 8: Now user fill the required details of the vehicle given on registration certificate for booking an appointment.

Step 9: You can get the HSRP delivered at home, which costs an additional Rs 250, or  visit the dealer/center and collect the same.

Step 10: After fill all required details now choose the date and time from the available slots.

Step 11: Now user go to payment page and make payment online with credit card, debit card, net-banking, wallet and take a acknowledgement receipt.

Step 12: After payment done save and print the receipt and show to the traffic police official when asked for it.
