The J&K Board Of Professional Entrance Examinations(JKBOPEE) has decided to conduct a Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to Post Basic BSc Nursing courses 2024 in Government / Private colleges of UT of J&K / Ladakh on 22-06-2024 at both Jammu and Srinagar simultaneously.
The date for the common admission test for the post of basic B.Sc Nursing course has been announced by J&K Board Of Professional Entrance Examinations(JKBOPEE). The common admission test will be conducted on Saturday, 22 June 2024, in different cities of Jammu and Kashmir. The Date of filling up of application forms for post basic Bsc nursing was started on 10th May 2024, and the last date was 24th May 2024.
Eligibility for Post Basic BSc Nursing Programme in Jammu and Kashmir
To apply for the Post Basic BSc Nursing Programme, candidates need to meet these requirements:
- Residency: The candidate must be a resident of either the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu & Kashmir or the UT of Ladakh. For candidates from Ladakh, a Scheduled Tribe (ST) certificate from the Ladakh authority will be accepted as proof of residency.
- Educational Qualification: The candidate must have completed 12th grade (10+2) from a recognized board and have a Certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM). They must also be registered as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (R.N.R.M.) with the J&K Paramedical Nursing Council. Male nurses trained before the new integrated course must be registered with the J&K Paramedical Nursing Council and provide proof of training in an approved specialty like Operating Theatre (O.T.) Techniques, Ophthalmic Nursing, Leprosy Nursing, T.B. Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Neurological and Neuro-surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Cancer Nursing, or Orthopaedic Nursing.
- Health: The candidate must be medically fit.
- Final Year Students: Candidates who are in the final year or semester of their GNM program in 2024 and awaiting results can also apply. However, they must submit their final marks card at the time of counseling or admission, as decided by the Board. If they fail to do so, their application will be rejected without any further consideration.
Question Pattern For Post Basic BSc Nursing CET J&K
The entrance exam for the Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing course will have one paper with three sections, containing a total of 120 multiple-choice questions. The exam will last 2 hours. Each question is worth one mark. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
The question paper will cover five subjects. Here’s the breakdown of the number of questions for each subject:
- Medical Surgical Nursing: 45 questions
- Mental Health Nursing: 20 questions
- Midwifery & Gynaecological Nursing: 17 questions
- Community Health Nursing: 26 questions
