On April 25, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Kerala’s inaugural Vande Bharat Express at Thiruvananthapuram Central. This high-speed train, the first of its kind in Kerala, traverses a distance of 586 kilometres in 8 hours, boasting an average speed of 73 kilometres per hour. Kerala’s inaugural Vande Bharat Express makes 8 stops at Kasargod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Shoranur Junction, Thrissur, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Kollam Junction, and Thiruvananthapuram, with all its stops located exclusively within the state of Kerala.
The eagerly anticipated third Vande Bharat Express in Kerala has the capacity to substantially improve intra-state connectivity. Kerala Third Vande Bharat Express Train Route
The Kerala Third Vande Bharat Express Train Route will traverse a distance of 421 kilometres, connecting Ernakulam and Mangaluru. This Vande Bharat Express will connect two Indian states Kerala and Karnataka. Presently, there are seven trains operating on this route. Among them, the fastest train takes approximately 8 hours and 15 minutes to complete the 421-kilometre journey between Ernakulam Junction and Mangaluru Junction.
Kerala Third Vande Bharat Express Train Stop
According to the sources, the Kerala Third Vande Bharat Express Train will stop at Thrisur, Shoranur Junction, Kozhikkode, Kannur and Kasaragod between Ernakulam Junction and Mangalore Junction. Apart from sources and destinations stations train will halt at every station for 2 minutes.
When Will Kerala Third Vande Bharat Express Train Start?
According to media reports, the Kerala third Vande Bharat Express is scheduled to commence its services on 15 October 2023.
